Town of Hilton Head Island issued the following announcement on March 4.

Beginning Monday, March 7, contractors for the Town of Hilton Head Island will be doing drainage repair work on a section of the pathway along Cordillo Parkway so it will be safe for pedestrians and cyclists to use again.

The pathway, located between 137 Cordillo Parkway (the Treetops complex) and 171 Cordillo Parkway (Providence Presbyterian Church), and the pathway near 2 Woodward Avenue will be closed from all directions while work is underway. This portion of the pathway has been closed since July 2021 due to drainage and safety concerns.

The work is expected to be completed within a week. Work crews will be on site at 7 a.m. each day. Pedestrians and cyclists should avoid this area. There may be minor traffic delays during delivery of materials and equipment to the work site.
