Town Council to Consider Town’s FY2023 Budget on Tuesday, May 3

The Town Council of Hilton Head Island will consider first reading of its proposed consolidated fiscal year (FY) 2023 budget for the Town’s general fund, capital projects fund, debt service fund, and stormwater utility fund at its Town Council meeting at 3 pm Tuesday, May 3.

At the meeting, Hilton Head Island Town Manager Marc Orlando will provide Town Council and the public with an overview of his recommended consolidated budget. The presentation begins the Town’s public budget review process. The proposed consolidated budget executive summary and the budget presentation will be made available on the Town’s website at www.hiltonheadislandsc.gov at the conclusion of the meeting.

The public will have three opportunities to learn about and comment on the proposed budget. The first opportunity is during Tuesday’s Town Council meeting. Citizens who wish to address Town Council about the budget during the meeting must contact the Town Clerk at 843-341-4701 no later than 12 pm on Tuesday, May 3.

Additionally, a public workshop on the budget is scheduled for 9 am, Tuesday, May 10. A public hearing and second reading of the budget is scheduled for 3 pm, Tuesday, June 7. The public can also view the budget sessions on the Town’s Public Meetings Facebook Page, the Beaufort County Channel, and Spectrum Channel 1304.
