Friday
Arrive Friday afternoon and check into your room at one of our lodging partners. Take some time to unpack and unwind. Get changed and head out to meet the girls at a favorite local spot.
River Dog Brewing Company is a nationally-recognized brewery creating award-winning craft beers right here in Ridgeland, SC. Their menu of draft beers is ever changing, so you’re sure to find something you love. They even allow special events or tastings, so if you’re in town for a special occasion like a bachelorette party, call ahead to see if you can reserve a space!
After you’ve enjoyed some drinks and conversation with your girls, head on back to your room to get a good night’s sleep before tomorrow’s adventure.
Saturday
Wake up refreshed and ready to start exploring! After you get dressed in your best fall attire, head out for breakfast. Eats & Sweets Bakery and Cafe is a great option. Grab a pastry and a coffee to fuel your energy. You’ll need it!
If you and your friends like spending time outdoors – and it’s hard not to when you’re visiting the lowcountry – take a trip to the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge. It’s listed as one of our points of interest for a reason!
The Savannah National Wildlife Refuge is one of the oldest members of the National Wildlife Refuge System, established in 1927. The refuge’s expansive 22,940 acres lie along the Savannah River, protecting numerous kinds of wildlife. Take a driving tour or hike a trail, and maybe you’ll see some native flora and fauna for yourself.
After your outdoor adventure, stop for lunch at the famous Fiddlers Seafood Market & Restaurant or Pizza Bella on Main – both delicious options.
Then it’s time to visit the Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage for a lesson in history. Their latest exhibit, The Supper Table, celebrates the women of South Carolina. A girls’ trip is the perfect time to learn about influential and impactful women!
You can’t visit South Carolina without enjoying a gorgeous fall sunset. Read our blog to find the best places to watch the sunset in Jasper County and find a great location to enjoy the views. Before you head back to the hotel for a dip in the pool and a restful night, grab a bite to eat at Roxy’s Restaurant. You’ll be glad you did!
