The Development Review Committee consists of representatives of Town departments and other applicable agencies involved in the land development review process, as well as the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Planning Commission, an At-Large Planning Commissioner, and the Chair of the Historic Preservation Commission for projects located within the Old Town Bluffton Historic District. The committee has powers of an administrative advisory board concerning land development review matters provided for by this Ordinance including, but not limited to: 

  • Preparing and recommending for adoption by the applicable approval authority technical requirements for the design, installation, management, and maintenance of streets, roads, utilities, stormwater management systems, buildings, structures, lighting, landscaping and other systems or items necessary for the orderly development of the Town of Bluffton in conformance with this Ordinance, the Comprehensive Plan, and any other adopted or accepted policy or plan of the Town of Bluffton
  • Reviewing and recommending action on applications as authorized by this Ordinance and the Application Process Table of the Applications Manual
  • Such other responsibilities and powers granted explicitly this Ordinance or delegated by the UDO Administrator
