Of the 8,779 people living in Burton in 2020, 51.3 percent (4,505) were women and 48.7 percent (4,274) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Hilton Head Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 398. In the 65 and over age range, there were 520 females and 397 males.
