Town of Hilton Head Island: Town Council hosts Strategic Plan Workshop Focusing on Policy, Project and Operational Initiatives

Town of Hilton Head Island issued the following announcement on October 18.

Hilton Head Island Town Council members and Town staff will gather from 9 am to 2 pm Thursday, October 21, for a Strategic Plan Workshop. The workshop will be conducted virtually.

The virtual workshop will be live-streamed on the Town of Hilton Head Island's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TownofHiltonHeadIslandSC/. The public may watch the live stream through the Town's website by clicking the workshop date listed on the meeting calendar on the homepage at https://hiltonheadislandsc.gov. The workshop will also be aired on Hargray channel 9 and Spectrum channel 1304. The workshop agenda is available at https://hiltonheadislandsc.gov/towncouncil/agendas/.

During the workshop, Town Manager Marc Orlando and senior staff members will present the proposed Strategic Action Plan to council members. The proposed plan includes policy, project and operational initiatives in the following focus areas: pursuit of excellence, environmental sustainability, revitalize economy, inclusive community, connected community, regional focus, right-sized infrastructure, and parks and recreation.

"This organization-wide and policy driven strategic plan follows the adoption of our 2020-2040 comprehensive document, Our Plan. As we navigate our future, our strategic action plan will provide guidance on where, when and how to use our Town’s resources," Orlando said.

A copy of the Strategic Action Plan will be posted to the Town's website for the public to view once it has been adopted by Town Council.
