Town of Hilton Head Island issued the following announcement on August 26.

With the increase of positive COVID-19 cases in our community and the requirement that masks be worn inside all Town of Hilton Head Island buildings, we're reminding you that most of your Town Hall permitting needs can be handled virtually through our website at www.hiltonheadislandsc.gov.

Visit our Building and Development Citizen Self Service Portal at https://mis.hiltonheadislandsc.gov/EnerGov_Prod/SelfService/ to apply for a variety of permits. If you don't see the permit you need, simply e-mail your application and associated documents to cdic@hiltonheadislandsc.gov or drop them off at the large drop box located at the entrance of Town Hall, 1 Town Center Court.

Revenue Services encourages you to pay your accommodations taxes, beach preservation fees and hospitality taxes online, by mail or by using the Revenue Collections drop box located at the entrance of Town Hall. You can also download a business license application and submit it by mail or bring it to Town Hall. If you have further questions, call Revenue Services at 843-341-4677 for assistance or email Revenue Services at RS@hiltonheadislandsc.gov.

Don't forget that you can also use our new Permit Application Finder Map to quickly check on the status of a permit or to see what projects are underway around the Island.
