Land Survey Work at Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park
Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park — Town of Hilton Head Island
0Comments

Beginning the week of March 27, the Town of Hilton Head Island will start surveying land at Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park in preparation for future paving work and drainage improvements at the park at 40 Harriet Tubman Way.

Atlas Surveying, Inc., a contractor for the Town, will perform the survey, which includes collecting data for property corners, utility locations, topography, trees, and other pertinent land features. Surveyors will flag all trees over six inches in diameter with tape as they collect information for the survey. The tape will be removed when the surveying is complete. No trees will be cut down in the process. Surveyors expect to complete the work by mid-April. The Town will use the survey to plan and design future projects in accordance with the Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park Master Plan.
