ATAX grant applications now available

BEAUFORT, S.C. (July 25, 2022) –  The City of Beaufort now has Accommodations Tax (ATAX) grant application packets available for non-profit organizations that focus on the promotion, advertising and marketing of tourism to Beaufort.

The packets are available online here — https://bit.ly/3b1f1QT — or you can pick one up at City Hall, 1911 Boundary St., 2nd Floor, City Manager’s Office, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon-Fri.

If you are interested in applying, you MUST attend either in person or via Zoom one of two mandatory sessions that explain the process. These will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2, in City Council Chambers, and 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, in the Planning Conference Room, City Hall. The link above has the Zoom information.

Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Aug. 26.

The Tourism Development Advisory Committee will review the applications and make recommendation to City Council, which makes the final decision on the grant awards.
